Blake Ackerson and Brennin Scherpf started Haulaway Junk Removal in Louisville on a simple rule: price the job in the driveway, then do not move the number. That is still how it runs.
The work, and where it happens
The work is Jefferson County and the towns around it: basement cleanouts in the Highlands and Germantown, garage and estate loads out of St. Matthews and Jeffersontown, construction debris from the build-out going on in Prospect and Buckner, and the steady run of storm-season yard debris. Loads are priced against the truck, 6 feet wide by 8 tall by 18 long, in five sizes from a minimum pickup to the whole bed.
Where it goes afterward
Usable furniture and household goods are taken to local donation partners when accepted, and scrap metal is separated for a Louisville scrap yard wherever it can be taken. It costs us time on the back end of a job and it is the reason a full house cleanout does not simply become a full dumpster.
